Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to clarify the concept of light industry, identify its various branches and highlight its importance and role in the development of non-hydrocarbon industrial sector during the period 2005-2015.

We measured in this study the contribution of the light industry in the volume of production, in the gross domestic production, and in creation of added value of industrial sector.

We have also talking about its turnover, the variation of its labor productivity during the period studied and the development of the rate of industrial margin, and finally arrive at the result that we need to rehabilitate and activate the performance of the institutions belonging to it.
