Abstract EN

Arab countries in general and especiallythose of Maghreb region (Algeria and Morocco) have witnessedduring the last decadeamendmentsaffected the lawsregulating the family.

The committees, formed for thispurpose, have emerged a series of developments; the mostsignificant of which are two issues: the protection and polygamy.

In thispaper, I deal withthesetwo issues to highlight the amendmentsthat are subjected to and comparingthem as theywere in previouslaws.

It is a question also to notice the success of the legislator to find a legaldrafting of the judgments of thesetwo issues, in order to solve the problemsraisedaroundthem.
