Abstract EN

The study aimed to determine the possibility of application of the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard in the local public sector in order to measure and evaluate sustainable performance in the local public sector, in addition to drawing the attention of senior management in government bodies to the need to implement the principles of New public management (NPM) and this through the application of modern of management control tools.

This study has provided an analysis based on a survey through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of municipalities, on the study of the possibility of application of a Sustainability Balanced Scorecard, where we reached the conclusion that there is a possibility for the application of this tool in the local public sector.
