Abstract EN

The strategy of assets and liabilities management (ALM) of insurance companies allows to assess and manage the different financial risks met, such as liquidity risks resulting from the inability of the company to fulfil its obligations at maturity dates without incurring unwanted or unexpected losses.

This strategy enables insurance companies to apply the appropriate policies and to set the necessary limits of the risks and determine the capital appropriate levels, by taking into consideration all the items on both sides of the company's budget, as well as the external balance aspects to understand the various financial risks in order to limit their impact and take the necessary precautionary measures instead of waiting for their occurrence.

As a matter of fact, this work aims at showing the role of assets and liabilities management strategy in limiting the financial risks in general and liquidity risk in particular as far as the insurance companies are concerned.
