Abstract EN

The Algerian economy has attested profound changes in recent years as regards to develop the financial sector the increasing of interest about small and medium enterprises as the engine of development of economies, which is characterized by profound economic transformations, came this study to shed light on the role of venture capital companies as a source of financing investment projects of small and medium enterprises, through the provision of opportunities to the owners of financial surpluses to employ their savings and their involvement in this project, so that it can achieve the economic goals and align with new trends in various fields, which positively affect the national economy.

However, this requires a revision logic of the prevailing method of funding, based exclusively on the monopoly and the control of the money market, which means short-term capital market, to the detriment of the finance market in Algeria, which holds the largest part of the surplus liquidity, due in fact to the failure or the absence of financial institutions and devices to finance investments, and this can only be achieved through the merger of classical methods of financing that cannot be avoided or ignored, as well as to diversify and support the other financing mechanisms except the commercial banks : investment banks, financial market and corporate venture capital
