The Algerian government has embarked a series of structural reforms on the Algerian insurance sector، crowned by The Law No.

06.04، dated at 20-04- 2006 amending and supplementing Law No.

95/07 dated at 01.25.1995، the adoption of separate life insurance for damages from insurance was the most important decisions that had taken، which became effective from the beginning of March 2011، it has led to change the rules of competitive game between the suppliers، and the commandment authorities' objective was to upgrading the branches of life insurance، which suffers from great delays.

Therefore، this study aimed to evaluate and analyze the evolution of Underwriting activity concerned with life insurance for the period of 1995-2012، by focusing on the extremely sensitive effect for both، the outbreaks of prohibitory perception and lack of insurance awareness dominant with the Algerian individual.
