Abstract EN

The sources, periodization, concepts, issues, references and methodological approaches represent the foundation for historical research, adding to these, a practical and institutional systematization which provides a problematic dimension for these studied themes especially, if these themes are predicated upon a scientific approach that combines between the definition, explanation as well as synthesis, of course, according to approaches which are based on monitoring thought, agent and agency, paying close attention to the transformation and turns to get an understanding in order to decode the meaning of these symbols and interpreting the events so as to discover the beep associations, arrangements, directions which actually impact events, practices and institutions.

Then, we attempt in this research which is entitled "The History of The Islamic West: a methodological view about epistemological issues", reflection on certain concepts, and a synthesis reading of sources based on the structural history of events rendering issues specific to economic, social, political and cultural life of both society and state more confusing and its real role in reconsidering some epistemological and methodological aspects in the history of Moroccan and Andalusian countries during the Middle Ages, because of the importance that bridging provokes between form and content which are regarded as the sources in the transcendence of this profound stereotypical view or the alternative texts without regard to their kinds.

Then we focus on issues which we think have additional value such as the concept of the Islamic West and the new concept of the document, the concept of structures and its role in the transition from the history of events to a problematization history, the role of sources in reviewing historical concepts.

And also the distinction between the sorts of sources and content of sources, which lead us to try it according to issues such as "The advisory opinion exempting the people of the Islamic West from pilgrimage", and "The problematization in determining the prayer direction of mosques in the Islamic West".
