Percy Cox contributes in British policy path in the Arabian Gulf through his job as the British Resident in the region and him joining the campaign of the occupation of Iraq in 1920 to quell disputes between Amir of Najd and Hasa and the sheikh of Kuwait, especially border disputes, and how he welcomed efforts of Sheikh of Al-Muhammara Khazaalin mediating all those issues, in addition to the efforts of Cox to strengthen Britain's relations with Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and other emirates of the Arabian Gulf and try to weaken the influence of the Ottoman Empire in those areas as competitor for Britain's control over those countries, and there are political settlements that Cox had a role in completion, such as Seeb agreement in 1920 to resolve the dispute between the Imamate and Sultanate Oman, and the Convention on Uqair in 1922 to settle the border disputes between the Najd and Kuwait and between Najd and Iraq.
