Abstract EN

This research studies the expatriation in Deevvan ’’Men aina yajeea Al hozn’?” by the Bahrini poet Alawi Al Hashemi.

Expatriation and it’s various connotations were clarified in this research.

Also, the titles of the poems were studied and it was realized that the deewan which has sixteen poems includes fourteen poems that have a direct indication of Expatriation.

The study clarified the reasons of the poet’s feeling of expatriation and they were political reasons, economic, social and psychological.

The aspects of expatriation were clarified by repeating the artistic images that reflect the poet’s feelings of isolation and sadness.

Some of these images were the sea and the palm tree which were linked to his memory myth.

The poet was escaping from the present to the past through nostalgia and he was escaping to the future through the dreams and that was because he couldn’t cope with the present.
