Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the social factors that affect juvenile delinquency in Shendi city.

Shendi city is located in the southern half of the River Nile State, approximately 100 miles northern Khartoum city.

The study also tries to specify and arrange the social factors that affect such a phenomenon.

The method adopted in this study was the descriptive and analytic one.

The primary data were collected through interviews held with those whose the conditions were applicable.

The study concluded that all the social factors contribute, to great extent, to the occurrence of the juvenile delinquency, the most outstanding of which are the social and financial factors of the family.

The study recommended more family care for those juvenile, the thing which could be guaranteed through close following up in the family, school and outdoors.
