The study deals with the problem of corruption in the African continent to demonstrate this correlation and its impact on the success or failure of the transition to democracy.

In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about the third wave of democracy, which has affected all countries of the globe except two regions that have not followed this wave, namely the Arab, Islamic and African regions.

However, it should be noted here that the political studies have confirmed the interdependence between many variables, including internal and the success of the process of transition to democracy, such as: political culture, the relationship between the two Vital determiners in the political systems in the two regions: military and civil, economic development and corruption in any form, and some external, similar to the polarization of the major powers.
