Foreign direct investment plays an important role in the process of economic development by the creation of value-added and the contribution in increasing the level of employment in various fields.

In the light of the trend towards globalization and the WTO and the free movement of capital, Algeria has adopted a number of actions and programs aimed at improving the investment climate and streamlining procedures so as to ensure an increased flow of foreign direct investment.

Given the importance of the subject, this paper aims to shed light on the reality of the investment climate in Algeria on one hand, and its impact on attracting foreign direct investment on the other
