Pain asper the Islamic intellectual tradition examined many a consideration through which the pure siatus of existence intertwines with the pure status of knowledge, or it may diverge either, for pain was deemed as being a mere qualified conscious that belongs to the potentialities of the body and the sensible qualities thereof.

Hence, pain was excluded from ruling, effective circles.

It was then regarded as a defect transcending mans body.

Pain was also dismissed, as per mainstream philosophical tradition, from the circle of being, so that to be established in the circle of evil nothingness, leading to conceptual confusions at the heart of the very concept of pain.

It was doomed to negativeness, inasmuch it is of no effectiveness upon mans life.

Nonetheless, sustainable efforts were devoted to reestablish the very identity of pain, within a frame that manifests the representations thereof engrained in man’s psychological, intellectual, and physical capacities.

Such attempts introduced a mystic approach (to pain) imparted with a spiritual hue, embraced with mercy, and attracted by the pain of detachment, and longing towards the return to early roots.
