It is inevitable that there is a kind of relation among the body and soul, for the soul recognizes the body, embracing pain and affliction that befall upon the very body.

It has been a matter of consensus amongst some scholars that pain per se is characterized by two folds: (1) being a divine action decreed upon humans, depriving them from welfare and pleasure, thereby expounding upon pain from the perspective of the divine justice; and (2) being inflicted upon humans to acquire ascension and cultivate their very human esscnce.
