Pain is a central t herne amid the sphere of human concerns as per the very i ndividual and community both, upon approaching the principles of ethics in eastern and western philosophies equally, as it is an inevitable, tenable factor in the arching the ethical thinking.

Pain thereby arches and forms the very principle of ethics.

When ethical principles were dressed with a firm metaphysical mantle upon the medieval era, they clung to an established doctrinal system that deemed pleasure and pain as being outside the sphere of matter, qua matter.

Whereas certain oriental philosophies plotted schemas for salvation as per the very individual, western philosophies theorized for the canonization of salvation qua its communal aspect, to envisage accordingly individual ethics unto the context of community.
