However, many of these valuable manuscripts have been damaged and reduced to ashes as it has been the case in the historically important Euphrates and Tigris rivers.

To retrieve and preserve the enviable core collection of manuscripts, it is of prime necessity to set national institutions that can house them.

Other activities may include series of international programs with the soul aim of overcoming the problems facing ancient manuscripts.

Further, manuscripts are of great financial value.

Therefore, they can be treated as economic investments to improve the living standard of any given nation
