Tlie study aimedto expbre Hie effectiveness ofiisnig SCAMPER strategy to develop scientific creative flunking skills and academic achievement m science subject among a selected sample of tlie second intermediate class pupils in Saudi Arabia.

Tlie sample consisted of 113 pupils divided into two groups: tlie experimental group (n=55) that studied the selected subject material "plants" according to SCAMPER strategy, and tlie control group (n=58) that studied tlie same subject material following tlie traditional method.

An achievement test was prepared m tlie subject selected as well as a test for the scientific creative thinking skills.

Both instruments were administered pre and post tlie intervention Tlie study results indicated that there were significant statistical differences at 0.01 level between tlie score means of tlie experimental group and those of tlie control group on tlie tests of academic achievement and scientific creative thinking skills (each skill separately and the test as a whole), in fevor of tlie experimental group.

A significant positive correlation between achievement and scientific creative thinking was found within tlie experimental group, whereas 110 statistical significant correlation between them was found among tlie control group pupils.
