The am of this research b to earnne students’ test takiig strategies, identify the most frequently used dura? the test sruabon, and the- efiect on test scores.

Also, the efiect of using these strategies on the difficulty discnrnmtion of the test items aai its vaidity anH reliability.

To achieve these objectives.

a measure of test taking strategies has been developed, mcludxig fr.-e strategies, such as response time planning question analysis, response plaining, coccrol and management post-test strategy, Aad achievement test m the measurement and evaluation course was also developed.Th«e sample consisted of 181 students of die general cLploma n education, the research reached many results, me kid mg.

- Test taking strategies used by studens tn a medium degree, except the control and management strategy used in poor degree.

- The scores of students in tbe test afected by the degree to which they use the test takaig strategies, where the use of these strategies hcrease.

the scores increase - Studens' scores in the test can be predicted through ther test takiig strategies, The most rqjonant strategies for predicting are the control arvi management and the questions analysis.

- Item difficulty coefficients stressed by die increased use of these strategies, while the item discnaimanon decreased - Improved test predrnve and congenital vakhry by zxreased of the test taking strategies, as well as mproved rehably, but the effect of test taking strategies on rehably is less dan die efiect of this strategies on test vaidity.
