Abstract EN

This study tackled the definition of the professional associations and distinguishing it from institutions and public utilities, and the nature of these professional associations from the point of view of jurisprudence, legislation and administrative judiciary, in order to know their adaptation of the nature of these associations with a comparison between Egypt and France.

The study concluded that the Jordanian jurisprudence and legislation did not indicate such nature.

As for judiciary, it considered them as public law persons, but in recent years, its inclination is to consider it as private law persons that exercise public interest activity, which make it subject to a mixture of the provisions of the public and private law.

The study recommended that Jordanian legislator should specify the nature of professional associations
