Abstract EN

This study attempts to elaborate the reality of the Arabic language in terms of oral and written use and the challenges it faces.

The study summarizes also the difficulties that hinder this language, especially after being suppressed and destroyed during the French colonial period.

The main questions of the study are: What led our relationship with Arabic to such critical situation? What are the reasons and the factors that caused our dereliction and default towards Arabic? What is required of its users to cope with the competitive positioning with other languages
