Abstract EN
The present study deals with the Islamic institutes in Algeria and this leads us to talk about the political and cultural history of Algeria.
The Islamic institutes were among the early adopted educational systems in the early 1970s.
It was known as original education institutes which started with Ahmad Tawfiq El Madani and elaborated, later on, by Mouloud Kasim Nait Belkacem when he became the head of the Ministry of Endowments and renamed it the institutes of original education.
It was well known, in that period, that the original education institutes witnessed significant success and acceptance within society; but unfortunately, it has been abolished in 1976.
The current Islamic institutes to train professional staff are descendant from the original education institutes.
However, it does not contain the diversity in the curriculum and education as it was in the original education but it is still contributing in training students in Islamic and religious fields
