Irrigating by the system of Fouggarat in the Eastern part of the region of Tidikelt , In salah is considered as one of the most outstanding , amazing ancient inventions that people ever found out .

The latter contributed in the flourishing of agriculture in different parts of the region .

To resume , the fouggarat , by definition , is a primitive means of extracting the underground water to the surface of the earth .

It consists of a series of connected wells joined together by an underground canal called " Nfad" this canal allows the flow of water to reach the targeted point to be irrigated .

Unfortunately, due to many factors, The fouggarart deteriorated in the region, all that remain are traces that stand as a witness to the genius of the people who lived in the "ksour of In salah " at that time .

For this reason, we need to protect and preserve this priceless treasure from vanishing.
