Abstract EN

This article unveils the causes and scientific realities that lay behind the child‟s attachment to his mother tongue.

It sets forth procedures through which teachers of Arabic may exploit the cultural heritage inherent in the mother tongue such as stories, riddles and popular proverbs.

This through a procedural perspective that gives to each and every element of this heritage its due position in the learning process.

It will certainly assure a psychological and emotional equilibrium for the learner; enhance teaching Arabic in rentability and wide-spreading; and set up a strong identity basis which strenghens the ties between the child and their community and true citizenship
