Abstract EN

The Berber woman is known for her passion for poetry, she uses it as a tool to reflect her identity and to show her artistic skills as a poet.

These verbal messages are an expression of her repressed feelings and may expand further to describe the society in which she lives.

This paper will analyse the practical study of the most used religious poem from a small Berber tribal area, such as Ait Tizi.

The subject of the poem is a prayer on the Prophet Mohammed “peace upon him”, for each day of the week.

We will then attempt to study the women‟s language used in this poetic text, starting from her use of rural local (Berber) language and the formal Arabic language introduced from time to time.

The meaning of the words used and their relationships will be presented by subdivision into their related dictionaries showing the degree of involvement of the woman‟s intellect during her recitation of the poetic text.
