Abstract EN

The present study is analytical and evaluative study.It sought to comment on the psychological knowledge in the philosophical and medical heritage of Islamic civilization from the indigenization approach.

used four aspects of indigenization: (1) Concepts.

(2) Methods and practices.

(3) Subjects and subjects subdivisions.

(4) Learning method.

The preliminary analysis pointed to the dominance of three intellectual tracks.

The Islamic authentication methodologies (IAM) established a solid border with metaphysical thoughts, and it has an open attitude towards sensory experiences.

Regarding psychological problems, Islamic philosophers were open to metaphysical thoughts, and hesitant towards sensory experiences.

In its quest to uncover the conditions of psychological knowledge according to the criteria of Indigenization, the study concluded that: Standards of Indigenization regarding psychological knowledge in Islamic civilization were not satisfied.

Both philosophical and medical tracks have not benefited from the IAM.

Based on its findings, the study recommends a more realistic assessment of psychological knowledge in Islamic civilization.

Also, it calls for alternative approaches in studying psychological heritage in Islamic civilization
