Abstract EN
The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of behavioral training program to reduce behavioral and emotional disorders in a sample of adolescents Mild Mental Retardation .
Sample of the study consist of (30) Mild Mental Retardation teenagers selected using purposeful sampling procedures from different ages, and from both genders from two centers for special education at Amman Governorate in 2012Y2013.
The sample of the study was distributed randomly into two groups: an experimental group consisted (15) of male and female Mild Mental Retardation teenagers; and a control at.
Each of the two groups consisted of (15) Mild Mental Retardation teenagers .
A (55) items emotional and behavioral scale was developed By researcher .
The scale distributed on the on (6) domains: anger, (1-10), anxiety (11-18), aggression (19-25), withdrawal (26-35), shyness (36-45) and hyperactivity and distraction (46-55).
Reliability and validity were established for the scale.
In addition, a training program was developed and it was validated psychometric characteristics before administration to the sample of the study.
Results of the study indicated significant different attributed to the proposed training program in all study domains (Anger, anxiety, aggression, withdrawal, shyness, attention deficit and hyperactivity) and whole measure, in favor of experimental group teenagers.
No significant differences were found due to gender and age in all study domains and whole measure
