Abstract EN
Arbitration is referred to as one of the leading alternative dispute resolution means.
Parties do refer to arbitration to have their disputes resolved on the hands of arbitrators of their own choice.
Arbitration was found to be faster than courts of law in resolving disputes.
This speediness, is recognised as one of the main advantages of arbitration.
What is more, parties expect arbitration to be speedy and fast.
The Emirati and Jordanian laws acknowledged this fact.
They, both laws, stated that arbitration must be accomplished in a certain time limit determinede ither by the parties or the provisions of law.
The two regulations were analysed and addressed in this study.
The two laws were found to learn from each other in this regard.
The article adopts more than one recommendation for both legislators, in the two laws, concerning this issue.
