Abstract EN

The research deals with the indicative usage of the eye and its verbs in the holy Koran, displaying how God created the eye with such sharp accuracy, making it the most important sense of all, through which humans can comprehend visual images in all its forms and colours .

The eye also gives us a clear image which enables us to comprehend the psychological condition a person is going through in addition to comprehending the hidden feelings and components related to many indicatives and various meanings that have been revealed by the quranic context, like happiness, sadness, honesty, disdain, desire, treason, conservation, coquette, fear and serious disorder.

In addition there is the various indications that have been expressed by the verbs of the word ‘eye’ like vision seeing and viewing, therefore expressing the uniqueness of the quranic usage of each verb like hatred, degradation, submission, aberration, contemplation, mercy, fear, etc.

Consequently making vision the functional integration for seeing and viewing which is one of the obligations of sight.
