Abstract EN

This Study aims at evaluating the topics that are related to environmental education in the curriculum of the Sudanese general education ,the - Methodology of the study is descriptive and analytical approach - Regarding the population of the Sudanese and analytical of teachers in public schools at Khartoum state .

The study is confined to with the environment ,the sample of the study which had randomly been selected was composed of (69) teachers 5% of the total population of the study in addition there are geography teachers in secondary schools who amounted to (36)10% of the total population of the study , the total number is (105) teachers.

The most significant results of the study are - The objectives of the environmental education are clearly stated and applicable .

- The objectives of the environmental education take in to consideration the individual interests of the pupils, besides developing their skills and providing them with useful knowledge .The content of the topics are closely related to the environment and it is also contributes to developing attitudes, skills and experiences of the students to help them promote environmental awareness of the part of the students .

the study recommends The importance of benefiting from the environmental concepts which are mentioned in the content analysis scale and including them in the basic education curriculum generally and deeply and widely in secondary stage .

The curriculum must cope with the most recent developments in the specific research in the field of the environment and environmental education .
