The second half of the twentieth century has witnessed the emergence of the tourism sector within the affecting sectors economically in the world.

A lot of countries adopted tourism programs and plans for tourism development for specific aims, specially reducing Financial leaks due to travel of local citizens to forein tourism destinations, and achieving revenues resulting from the attraction of tourists into the country.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has increased the area of interest in tourism development through the development of future plan.

Particular in the Eighth Five-Year Plan (2004 - 2008), in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved boom and rise of a comprehensive development in the tourism sector.

As a result The General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities has been established in 2000.

It is no doubt that Saudi Arabia has many tourist areas which are unique.
