Abstract EN

Functional meaning is considered one of the most important meanings which control the mechanism of the grammatical lesson.

That is why, this research is entitled (( The influence of functional meaning on obligatory grammatical rulings according to Al-Shatibi's (790 A.H) (Al-Maqasid Al-Shafiya,) to shed light on its importance and role in the obligatory grammatical rulesin the light of this book.

The researcher gives an introduction showing the concept of this meaning and its relation to parsing .

The first section is entitled (the effect of functional meaning on obligating the rule of fronting one element of the construction).the second is under the title (the effect of functional meaning in obligating the grammatical rule of implying the omitted elements in the consrtction.

The third one is entitled (the effect of functional meaning on obligating the parsing rule).

Finally, the research is concluded by the results.
