Abstract EN

Football is of interest and support everywhere due to its popularity in the world as young and old people ,at different social and cultural levels, like to play it since football is interesting and has many skills and plans.

As a result, specialists work on developing it through developing the special skills.

Taking the athlete psychological status into consideration has an effect on the process of development of football because it will assist to deduct different situations in playing when physical , skills and planning converge and others in sport games .

Psychological and social compatibility plays an important role in dealing with athletes situations in his daily life such as various situations of playing, thus, the player feels confident and deals bravely with difficult situations as well as depending on himself and commit to the duties that he should perform .

On the contrary, the failure to achieve psychological and social compatibility makes the athlete in ongoing psychological conflicts which absorb a large part of his energy.

So, the player is prone to nervous and psychological fatigue, for the least effort ,he will be impatient, quickly-arousal and angry , which leads to deterioration of mental health and to the poor social relations with others, and this will be reflected on his performance during the game.

The researchers observed through their teaching in the college of physical education and sport sciences in the university of Babylon that lack of interest in psychological and social compatibility in spite of its importance and its relation with accuracy of skills of handling and scorin in an important game such as football .
