Abstract EN

In this article we tried to spot a light on the important bases which are taken by the Algerian thinker MALEK BEN NABI to build his definition of the philosophy of civilization, so, first we go through the important theories which deal the philosophy of civilization and we limited them in three theories: theory of the movement of the increase development of the civilized history, theory of the decline of the civilized history and finally the movement of the periodical succession of history.

For the theory of MALEK BEN NABI in the philosophy of civilization, we started first by analyzing the periods of the civilized development according to MALEK BEN NABI, which he divided them to: period of pre-modernization, period of modernization than period after modernization.

For the period of pre-modernization: it represents for him the period of the human collection, in this period the instinct dominates on the man.

For the period of modernization: it has three bases: first, world of people, he considered it as the most important world which made the civilization, second; world of thoughts , it is the world of science and knowledge for the world of people which can exploit by them the world of things , and this latter is the last word of civilization for MALEK BEN NABI , it forms all the means which are available for the world of people to build the civilization.

Than we move to the role of the religious theme in the operation of making the civilization, we observed that MALEK BEN NABI gives this theme a big interest where he sees that it has an important role in making the operation of modernization, it plays the role of a connector between the previous worlds.

He compares it by the atoms of water ,this atoms do not form the water if there is no electricity spark as the worlds of civilization; they do not form civilization without religious theme which leads to the reaction of these worlds between each other.

At last , the period after modernization : it is the period where the authority of religious decrease in the society giving space to the brain which cannot dominate on the instinct which start to appear gradually dominating on the society and by that it is the end of a civilization.

In the conclusion, we propose it to be as results, in other word; the important results we can draw from this study
