The colonialism that characterized French politics during the nineteenth century The French state was born with the need to provide a military force to carry out the tasks required by the colonial movements inside and outside Africa, and early talk of various projects was revealed, using the human resources owned by the colonies, most notably Algeria.From here we raise several questions: What are the backgrounds and circumstances of the issuance of the law of compulsory conscription ?, What is its nature and content? How was the reaction of the political class in Algeria or the elite, and the people in general.
