Al-Araoui believes that the procedural mechanism through which modernity in Arab societies must be transformed is to start from the building of the modern state, because it is futile to try to realize the principles and values of political modernity (democracy, liberalism, civil society) This idea is central to the idea that focuses on the state apparatus to achieve modernization, and this is why it defends the need to reconstruct political thinking in contemporary Arab thought by thinking about the problematic Arab political failure from a more comprehensive perspective than the previous Arab thinkers Since what it was called Renaissance.
