Abstract EN

The research aims to discover the relationship between personality traits (neuroticism - extraversion) and the mental health and some demographic variables gender (male-female) and the academic level description (first – second - third).The method adopted in the research is the descriptive correlation method.

The research sample consists of (360) students from IDPs 180 male , and 180 female.

The research tools used are: scale of personality traits, mental health scale.

The data analyzed by (SPSS), through correlation coefficient, t-test, analysis of variance and regression coefficient, the results are: the general trait of mental health was found neutral, while there are no statistical significances differences in mental health due to gender .there are statistical significances differences in extraversion in favor to females, there are no differences in neuroticism also there is a guiding positive relationship between diastolec and mental health.

while there are no guiding differences in mental health that can be attributed to the level of school , also there are no statistical significances in personal traits that can be attributed to the level of school , in addition to the absence of significant interaction between the variable gender with variable classroom on mental health, also there is no significant interaction between the variable gender with variable classroom on character traits.

Extraversion has the ability to predict mental health.

The main recommendations: The necessity of providing specialized psychologists and sociologists in the displaced schools in Nyala.

Teachers and school workers in the displaced schools should be provided with educational bulletins and training which will help them to implement the strategy of teaching the students of the displaced.
