Abstract EN

This study was conducted to explore students’ perspective vis-à-vis the extent to which faculty members and the department implement quality standards during the learning and teaching processes at KSU Department of Educational Administration.

A survey was administered to a population sample of (110) master and doctoral students majoring in Educational Administration at KSU.

The study sought to identify: 1) students’ perspective of the extent to which teaching and learning academic accreditation standards are implemented at KSU Educational Administration Department and 2) potential differences amongst respondents due to gender and educational level variables.

Using descriptive approach, the paper tracked the respondents’ view for two consecutive years.

Students’ perception revealed an overall average level of quality standards' implementation by faculty members and by the department.

No statistically significant differences were found pertaining to academic staff implementation of quality standards, which can be attributed to the gender variable.

However, there were statistically significant differences in relation to academic staff and department implementation of quality standards that can be attributed to students’ study level (master vs.

doctoral) in favor of master students.

The paper recommends that the department should optimize its learning environment by providing learning areas equipped with computers, internet, library, e-library and other facilities, allowing students to access learning materials (e.g.

dissertations and research projects).
