This study aims to reveal the level of organizational trust and organizational commitment in the faculties of the University of Tabuk, to identify the correlation between the level of organizational trust and organizational commitment in the faculties of the University of Tabuk and to find out the most important statistical differences among the responses of the study sample individuals that are attributed to the study variables (scientific degree – years of experience – job position – college type).
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive survey approach along with a questionnaire that has been formed on the basis of the prior theoretical educational literature review as well as the researcher's own view.
To check its validity, the tool has been presented to a number of referees and professors who specialize in the field of education, Also, the researcher has verified the stability of the tool using Cronbach alpha.
The study has been applied to a sample of (213) teaching staff members distributed on the faculties of the University of Tabuk.
The study disclosed the following prominent results: 1.
The overall average level of organizational trust among teaching staff members at the University of Tabuk is (4.10), which is within the degree (agree) according to the correction key.
2.
The overall average level of organizational commitment among teaching staff members at the University of Tabuk is (4.21), which is within the degree (strongly agree) according to the correction key.
3.
There is a positive correlation between the dimensions of (organizational trust and organizational commitment in the faculties of the University of Tabuk) and the total at the significance level (α ≤ 0.01).
In view of the results of the study, the researcher presents a number of recommendations, including: 1.
Designing a procedural guide for the faculties and the administration at Tabuk University, to offer services to staff members in order to guarantee easiness and fluidity of their demands and ensure receiving their rights easily to realize their regulatory trust and regulatory commitment towards the university.
2.
The university administration should provide financial and moral incentives to teaching staff members according to their academic degrees to enhance ongoing commitment; especially since the results showed that associate professors are less committed than those with lower degrees.
