Abstract EN

The presence of venture capital and private equity firms in emergent and developing markets is becoming a promising financial substitute chiefly in a country like Algeria.

Indeed, Algeria is one of large countries which aims to overstep the dominance of bank-based economy over financing economic activities toward a real marketeconomy that allow small firms to rise capital and the size of assets.

The role of Venture Capital and private equity is not limited in financial support but they even back Early-stage, highpotential firms and managing new entrepreneurial companies and projects and hence constitute a key boosting for young investors and national industry.

This paper aims to explore the mechanism of work of venture capital, private equity then prevue the literature review concerning the relations between small and emergent companies and this kind of financing.

We will conclude the study with results on the future of venture capital in Algeria.
