Abstract EN

When we want to deal with the subject of religion and man in the thought of Muhammad Hussein FadhlAllah, we will be confused from which side we can tackle this subject, because in all the issues he raised and in all the cases for which he worked, religion was his cause as much as the human case is, to the extent that appeared that the meaning can be achieved only when it can achieve the greatest contribution to the alleviation of human pain and the purification of religious thought at all levels of impurities that question the credibility of the human essence of religion in the light of what has been seen in history and witnessed by the present manifestations of racism, abortion, legendary, and mythic glued and stick to religion.

The humanity of Muhammad Hussein Fadhlullah was not presented for political or social consumption, as many of the religions men and sects do as courtesy.

But he lived it with concern, existential worry, jurisprudential diligence, hard dialogue, deep criticism, cruel suffering, and constant struggle in all fields of scientific, intellectual, political, social, and educational life.

In his cosmic vision, Muhammad Hussein Fadhlullah came out of the rule that religion came to serve man in return for those who imagine the opposite, that is, man came to serve the religion to turn into a pagan existence that worship people for his name.

Because he saw in religion a call to life as in the verse: (O ye who believe, respond to God and the Messenger if he called you to what make you live) (Al-Anfal, verse 240).

As long as religion came to serve life, it came to serve the man who is the title of life.

Life is we and it is the integrated life that stores the mind, the will, and the sense of what gives the human address the largest site in this presence by giving him the ability to contain the whole world.
