Abstract EN

Sudanese archaeological research began by foreign and quickly archaeologists from Sudan jointed, they played a great role in the combination of fieldwork results and ethnography about ancient Sudan and the future plan.

Early in this century the archaeological fieldwork getting enormous and Sudan have been divided into many concessions for foreign and local institutes.

In 2008 Khidir Abdelkareem Ahmed established the department of archaeology, university of Al Neelain and he chosed Sabaloka east as a reconnaissance area.

The proposal cited by aims related to the main scientific problems of central Sudan archaeology and the location of the area as the links between the richest Sudan archaeological regions.

This paper try to illustrate khidir ideas of this area for the project and the results of seasons done by Author with their success and declines for the project future plan.

This study base on the historical and description methods to show the elements of the area, the project purposes and the field investigations of the basic Sudan archaeological research problems and how to develop.

The study showed that, one of the main reason of project fruitful is the sold plan cited by establisher and his recommendations, Moreover, the results of five archaeological seasons curried out by Author revealed that the area is very important to discuss many questions of central Sudan archaeology and its relations with surroundings areas.

Also the relationships between the area of the Nile east and west of stone Age archaeology and the role of the area in Meroitic civilization extension to the south and the Medieval periods.

Finally the study raised many questions, which will be contributed of the project plan a model of Sudanese archaeological research combining between students trainings and discussion scientific problems.
