Abstract EN

This paper deals with the remaining material culture of the State of Sennar, which ruled the Sudan during the Medieval period between 1504 and 1821 AD, focusing on characteristics and its spread, especially outside of the State Center in the ancient city of Sennar in central Sudan, the researcher relied mainly on field work in the various centers of the Kingdom, so, this study seeks to identify the current state of these archaeological evidences as many of them were destroyed due to various reasons, such as the heavy rain as well as development projects and others.

Through a comprehensive of archaeological research approach, the results of the study were that the State of Sennar produced a special character of culture that reflect on the personality and status of the Kingdom and its local culture, thus it can be said that it represents a cultural and local product has spread in most parts of Sudan.

The study recommends that the protection, maintenance and restoration, and attention should be paid to the remaining material culture, in order to preserve this important Sudanese heritage.
