Abstract EN

In principle, the irony is meant to criticize life at large and attempt to reform some of its manifestations; such a reform starts by sorting out the defect then uprooting it.

This does not mean to maintain a superficial outlook of things, nor does it attempt solely to diagnose the surface of the matters, but it aims at shaking the general atmosphere which controls the world.

In this respect, we attempt in this paper to unfold this method which becomes the focal interest of the poets of the nineties and contributed deeply to enriching their poetical discourse by answering an axial question: what is the objective behind resorting to such narrative style (irony)? How has the latter been evolved and become a kind of resistance and a means of divulging the weaknesses of all the constituents of the authority (political, social, religious ...).

How can irony, as an artistic resistance, to become a strong voice of the marginalized to make its way towards the center so as to institutionalize new values that vociferate its values and create the aspired reform?
