Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the Social reality for the Saudi stepmothers, through the focus on many cases, (the driving reasons behind the stepmother marrying a married man, the level of satisfaction about these situations, the reasons behind that, and the relationship between them and their stepmother sons.

The researcher relies on Social Survey methodology sample, which is consists of eighty samples, the Data were collected by questionnaire The field study reached several results, and the most important of these results are (the family consent of marriage a married man, as it is seen through the courtesy of the physical facilities ,spirits, and advises, Family approval on marriage consent shall not preclude groups in the community display a negative view of the stepmother, this study showed that the most important motives behind marrying a married man is the desire of childbearing, relieved of the perception of inferiority of the spinster and the restrictions behind that, the absence of a breadwinner, the desire to acquire a high economic status and far from being divorced.

Also the study showed the stepmothers enjoy their marriage satisfaction for several reasons, the most important of these reasons are the social security including, ignoring the society>s perception, husbands appreciation of what they do in the family, full confidence in their ability to create a stable family atmosphere.

The study also showed the relationship with the other wives take several forms like (in occasions only), phone calls, and very few visits.

As for the relationship with the children of the husband are characterized by moderation.
