Abstract EN

This study investigates old poetry through a stylistic study of Text linguistics.

The study analyzes Daliya poem composed by poet Duraid bin Samma.

It depends on 1escriptive and stylistic analysis to reveal the haunting idea of death of the poet’s brother, which controls the poet.

The analysis focuses on the concept of loss through revealing the dead’s deeds.

The study concentrates on effectiveness of repetition as a semantic element in the poetic text.

The study has also syntactically followed and shed light on Ihāla which appeared regularly throughout the poem.
