Abstract EN

This article deals with two archiological inscriptions from the ottoman period, fixed to the front of the main entrance of Al-Karantina Building in Hebron.

The two inscriptions are Altagra‘ or the Sultany Signature, and the other is documentary inscription for the building called (Tahavoth Khanah) in Turkish.

The article required to deal scientifically with the two inscriptions as carved in solids.

The researcher has cleaned them, took measurements, took camera pictures, and has drown them by hand.

He described them in details in terms of shape and contents.

The article showed that the two inscriptions are documenting one of civilization statues.

They represent a beauty of Arabic calligraphy, (farisi style inscription).

This must prompt us to save and maintain them as a symbol of our roots in this land for a long history.
