Abstract EN

Misguidance in the holy Quran is a very wide topic for many Ayas (verses) tackled it.

It is really hard to cover this topic in these few pages of our research, that's why we have chosen Aya (verse) 7 of Ad-duha (Forenoon) chapter: ( And He found you misguided and guided you).

Many people who are interested in understanding the meanings of the Quranic texts misinterpreted this Aya.

So, this research is an attempt to refute this misinterpretation and defend the position of prophet Mohammed (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon him and his Progeny).

The study falls into four sections.

The first of which is devoted to study the contexts in which misguidance was referred to in the Quran, what are their references? And how many meanings it occurred at? Section two treats the misunderstanding of the Aya.

While section three presents evidences of prophet Mohammed's faith before the start of his mission.

Section four displays other interpretations of misguidance as it is used to describe prophet Mohammed
