Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to highlight the relationship between tourism and sustainable development as well as to look at the simple linear regression model ; trying to draw up the economic dimension model of sustainable tourism in Algeria, considering the contribution of tourism to GDP as a function of many Economic effects of tourism.

As a result of the study we have found that the concept of sustainable tourism derives from the idea of sustainable development and sustainable tourism is based on three pillars: economic sustainability, social and cultural sustainability, environmental sustainability, and the close relationship between tourism and sustainable development making Tourism has positive effects on sustainable development, but it may also have negative impacts particularly on the environment.

Based on the applied study, we have found that there is a moderate correlation between tourism investment and domestic tourism spending, as the more tourism investment increases local tourism spending increases also to a significant degree.

One of the results of this study is that the contribution of tourism to GDP is a function of many influences that we have included in the simple linear regression model these include, by degree of impact, the contribution of tourism to employment, internal consumption of tourism, tourism investment, expenditure The local tourist, respectively.

One of the most important recommendations of this study, and according to the results obtained, is that the Algerian authorities in their plans for sustainable tourism development must give more attention to employment in the tourism sector, stimulating tourism investment by setting its own tax incentives to be included in the Algerian Investment Act, and Dissemination of tourism awareness, through the involvement of schools, universities and the media in the process.
