The aim of this research was to identify the mental health of the eighth class pupils and their relation to the academic learning difficulties as perceived by the teachers of the basic education stage teachers in the locality of Delgo, The researchers followed the descriptive method.

The sample consisted of (200) male and female students, 107 students and 93 students taken randomly.

The research tools included the list of the basic information, and the scale of mental health by Slalh Abo Nahya (1993), and the Academic Learning difficulties Scale by Bashfga Samah (2008).

The data were statistically analyzed with both one sample T-test, and T-test for two independent samples, one way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation co efficiency and Schiffe's test.

The findings of the researchers were as follows: mental health of the eighth class pupils as perceived by primary education stage teachers in the locality of Delgo is low, there is no correlation between mental health and academic learning difficulties among eighth class pupils in the locality of Delgo, There were no statistically significant differences in the mental health level among the eighth class in the locality of Delgo according to the variable of with whom the pupil was living.

There were no statistically significant differences in the dimensions of academic learning difficulties, Due to the gender of pupil (male/female), there are no statistically significant differences in the dimensions of reading and math difficulties, whereas differences were found between the writing difficulties and the total score as seen by their teachers.

The study also recommends that attention is to be paid for the follow-up of the pupils with academic learning difficulties in terms of the nature of their behavior within the school and class.
