Abstract EN

The study aimed to know the role of media in legal protection of children in armed conflict.

This study is based on descriptive studies.

In this type of researches, the method of content analysis was used.

Stratified sample was used to this study, of 2016 year.

The sample was 3 months.( 787) news stories was distributed over the three months.

The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of it: 1-The topic of "International Humanitarian Law" was the number one in list of topics with 23.6%, Followed by the second position of the Commission on Human Rights with 12.6%.

2-the study results indicate that the international news agencies was first ranked among all sources with (55.5%), Followed by agencies + channel sources with (26.8%).

3-The written news reports are the type used by Al Jazeera's website in its coverage of the legal protection of Aleppo children in armed conflict with (66%).
